Book a table at the renowned, plant-based restaurant Yellow, the brainchild of the award-winning team behind Bentley Restaurant + Bar, Monopole and Cirrus, chef Brent Savage and sommelier Nick Hildebrandt. Set in the distinguished ‘Yellow House’, a converted 1950s art gallery, Yellow features works from some of the city’s most celebrated artists, including Brett Whiteley. The menu is designed to make vegetables taste delectable, using premium produce sourced from local suppliers.
Yellow has received the Two Hats (Good Food Guide 2020) and Wine List of the Year (Good Food Guide 2020) awards. Melbourne designer Pascal Gomes-McNabb is responsible for the interior, which includes a softly lit dining room (featuring our Cooee 2c Brass cordless lamps) and accents of canary, mustard and saffron.
Morning Coffee - Café Hernandez
Grab your morning coffee from Sydney institution Café Hernandez, a laid-back, warm and welcoming café serving some of the city’s best coffee 24 hours a day from freshly roasted beans. The coffee house was opened in 1972 by the late Joaquin Hernandez Senior, credited for bringing coffee culture to Sydney back when tea ruled supreme.
Lunch - Franca Brasserie
Enjoy a long Sunday lunch at this popular newcomer on the Potts Point scene. Situated on the ground floor of the Ikon building, Franca Brasserie has an elegant, casual and modern feel akin to top New York and London brasseries such as the famed The Ivy in Covent Garden. The welcoming interior features raw textures—such as leather, marble, velvet and brass—timeless parquetry floors and colourful modern art.
The restaurant’s impressive menu has been curated by Bathers Pavilion head chef Alexis Besseau and pastry chef Travin De Hoedt to span a variety of cities and regions in France and neighbouring Mediterranean coasts.
