New Anodize finishes for Cooee Lamps

28th November 2016

We are introducing two new anodized finishes "Satin Black" and "Satin Bronze" for our Cooee Cordless Lamp range.

An anodized surface finish has been selected because of its greater resistance to corrosion, UV sunlight and day-to-day wear when compared to a traditional baked enamel finish*.

Anodizing is an electrolytic passivation process used to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of metal parts. The coating is actually part of the metal, so the finish will not peel, chip, flake or blister. The anodized finish can be renewed by cleaning and is cheaper to maintain over the lifetime of the lamp, making them an ideal finish for our wireless lamps that are often used in high traffic hospitality environment.

Finally, anodizing is a non-toxic process producing no harmful or dangerous by-products, that's just icing on the cake! CH on Peel Boutique Hotel, Tamworth in regional NSW is one of our first customer to receive the wireless lamps in the new Satin Black.

*Gloss Black & Antique Bronze has been superseded and will only be available as repair replacement   parts.
